Andrew Swann appointed Associate Professor in Geometry/Topology

In connection with the recent University reorganization, the Department changed its name from Department of Mathematical Sciences to Department of Mathematics.

Andrew Swann has been employed as associate professor in Geometry/Topology at the Department of Mathematical Sciences from 1 April, 2011.

Andrew Swann's research focuses on differential geometry and geometric structures which are invariant under group actions. He has written 50 published and frequently cited articles and has also significant teaching and supervisor experience.

Andrew Swann studied at Oxford University 1983-1990, where he took his BA, MA and D.Phil degrees.

Andrew Swann has been employed at Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark (1992-1995, 1999-2011), Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Bath (1995--1999), Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik, Bonn (1992-1993), Oriel College, Oxford University (1988-1989) and Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University (1989-1990).
